At the end of 2019 we at CableMaster re-negotiated several contracts with our suppliers is Asia in an effort to mitigate rising costs. As we planned to roll out information about cost changes, the Coronavirus shot to the top of discussions as many families have suffered terribly and as supplies have been disrupted across the globe.
With our suppliers just this week beginning to open their factories, however slowly, we at CableMaster are taking every step we can to lessen the damage from supply problems: qualifying new competitive suppliers still within Asia but outside of China; looking to American suppliers to fill gaps where possible; purchasing from colleagues within the industry where excess supplies exist; and modifying existing inventory at CableMaster as can be allowed by you, our customers. We expect the disruption to raw material suppliers, shipping companies, and customs officials to continue for the near future. We are hopeful that the Coronavirus effects will be muted over time.
